Zulfikar Ali Bhutto - Wikipedia
Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (January 5, 1928 - April 4, 1979) was a Pakistani politician who served as the President of Pakistan from 1971 to 1973, and as Prime Minister from 1973 to 1977. He was the founder of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), the largest and most influential political party of Pakistan. His daughter, Benazir Bhutto, also served twice as prime minister (the first Muslim woman to lead the government of a Muslim majority state, she was assassinated in 2007).
Educated at the University of California at Berkeley in the United States and University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, Bhutto was noted for his mercurial brilliance and wit.
Bhutto was executed in 1979 for allegedly authorizing the murder of a political opponent.[1] The execution was carried out under the directives of General (later, President) Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq.
His supporters add the honorific title Shaheed, the Urdu word for "martyr," before his name, thus: Shaheed-e-Azam Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto ( za bhutto biography1 REKIF
