Biography

As a young man on 10 May at Aberdeen, Alexander was born about son to John Ogston of that Ilk.

On 10 May , Alexander son and heir of John Ogston lord of that Ilk made a bond of manrent to Sir Alexander Forbes of that Ilk whereby he became his "lele man and trew", saving only his allegiance to the King, and agreed to serve with three horses during his father's life and with six thereafter[1]


Alexander had succeeded to his father about , taking the title Ogston of that Ilk.
